It was arranged by the sister - gotta give her credit for taking the lead on these family affairs. Thank you Sister!
We got a chance to eat (more than) fully at a new restaurant, and it was nice to be with the family again after being on our own the past weeks while we were travelling. Some highlights from the father's day lunch this year:
This is my adorable father. |
In the pic above, he was giggling to himself, extremely tickled by the brother's message. The father couldn't make out what 'hip xiong' was; and I had to say it out loud 'HIP XIONG = TAKE PICTURE (in Hokkien) - and oh this lovely moment of him was pretty awesome & terribly adorable. Glad he was tickled! Wouldn't have any other Dad in the world!
Like father, like son |
And then, of course, the husband, the next Father whom we were celebrating the day for. He is the strong pillar in our family of 4, and the hero his son worships. He's been an amazing father since day 1 of our first child and it's been a great journey so far. Thanks for the partnership, and I know the kids love you to bits.
Happy father's day to both Fathers in our families! To end off, here's an incomplete family picture of our family - missing the brother and his wife who are currently on their holiday. Despite them not being physically present, they sent their wishes to Dad early on in the day. Our family rocks!
