So Kate discovered ear wax.
She said, "Mommy, you know I have something in my ear?"
I stifle a smile and responds, "yes darling. It's ear wax. It protects your ear, a little bit is fine."
K: so I use my finger? (She sticks her finger into one ear)
Me: uh, yes. If you need help, you can ask
Papa or me.
K: when its stuck? I ask papa or you to help me?
I cannot help but laugh aloud at her innocence, and how matter-of-factly she says things sometimes.

Blocks - forming alphabets
Kate was mucking around with some blocks and surprised me when she started forming letters. She only made a few - the typical short-term-attention span of a 3yo - but it pleased me enough that she connected the dots of ABC & formed the letters. I managed to capture some of her creative mind at play.

Friday!
Jake, the born hair model
Ever since the moment he was born, my son has garnered plenty of attention to his lovely crop of hair. And it truly is lovely. I'll let the series of pics do the talking - this is a special hair issue for the men in the household; both the model & his stylist (the father).

Discipline required, please
I have travelled three times in the past 2 months - Bangkok, Perth then Jakarta. While I have kept to exercising through these trips, I have also ate non-stop and woe - I have put on a bit of weight.
This is a selfish post where I publicly share that I need to keep up with the exercise but maintain more discipline with my diet.
There is no other way about this to gain weight loss (pun intended) - except through sheer discipline.
Today is day one, where I have had a full breakfast with coffee, a light lunch and I just had a banana for a snack.
Now to go home & have a light dinner. Must-keep-to-plan; those kilos aren't going to fall off miraculously *sulk
The past months have been rather indulgent really, with me snacking on chocs and chips and fruits and everything (both good and bad) on top of eating meals that are way too heavy (damn you hotel buffets!)
Discipline. Go away, kilos!

Treats
On this mid-week public holiday...
First & second treats: I got to sleep in my own bed and wake up late (past 9 is awesome by today's standard).
Third treat: to have the kids storm into the room calling "Mama!" - to be able to hug them and smother them and breathe them
Forth treat: to receive gifts from their friends and watch them rip the gifts open joyfully
Feeling thankful for the family.
Happy holiday!
