We lounged at our new home, amidst the uncompleted-ness of it all but it struck me, as we sat there with our one piece of furniture "this is our home"; he nodded in agreement.
Lucky us had Kate taken care of so we had the luxury of strolling around the neighbourhood for dinner, taking routes we'd never before. It felt so familiar holding his hand and walking along in silence. We had silly dinner conversation about nothing much at all. We purchased another piece of furniture and had some laughs about earnest/zealous service staff. We walked to and from dinner and I had the chance to look up in the sky and see the moon in its full state tonight. We checked out the newly-installed lights at the house at night time and (phew) they work very well and the house is bright enough! We had time to pop to say goodbye & goodnight to the daughter before we hit the road for a double-date with the besties for a movie. We caught New Years Eve, a feel-good-simple-plot that, well, made me feel good.
Simple things, happy times, good memories.
