Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid-Autumn this year fell mid-week. The weekend before, the mother had a celebration with her family and I brought the kids to join in the fun. We had (bad) food, entertainment in the form of games etc, and the most important objective was met with the children gathering with their cousins and having a ton of fun, so checked!

Games on-stage

She was very enthusiastic - do not be fooled by the glum face

Happy shot with cousins and uncles
On the actual day, we made it a point to have dinner together. Though the sister and her busband didn't make it for dinner, they made it in time to have some mooncakes with us too so that was nice #famiyrocks

It's not a complete festival without some lantern play, so off we went.

Sparklers
It isn't how elaborate a celebration is, but how we feel and the effort we put in that makes it special. As little as we seem to have done, I hope the children remember the little pockets of fun that we do together as a family.
