The husband and I were very fortunate to finally go off for a short holiday. Just us. It was nothing short of a miracle that the comets aligned and we had help with the kids with no work or school to hold us back. So off.we.went!
One for the road. Just before we went off on our holiday. HOLIDAY! |
First thing that we he did upon arrival. Nothing. |
With some encouragement from the sister, I hit the gym. I did my first 2.4km run in a year and worked out my arms. It felt good. |
Our yummilicious dinner. Had to take a pic of this hilarious duck which served our pineapple rice. |
We savoured every bit of the authentic food. The tom yum soup was so spicy I swear I had heartburn. |
Island hopping. It was nice and breezy on the speedboat. |
Krabi, Thailand. |
My husband, the spiderman. |
Chicken island. Got its namesake because of that chicken-head looking rock you see in the background. |
Snorkelling. Attacked by the fishes! |
Important things you need by the poolside. Beer, water, book, towel, sunblock, snacks. |
This was me, heading to the pool. Important item that couldn't fit into the basket - the float. |
The best bits of the holiday - being able to spend time with my friend. |
He takes his holiday very seriously. Must do nothing. |
At the beach. |
Local noodles, fruits, coconut. |
Sunset. |
Just for the record, the husband and I do beach holidays best. I told him, "I like no one better to do nothing with."
It felt so good to have this break. Though we missed the kids like crazy, it felt so good to be with you.
