A nice evening out

The husband has been very busy of late (what's new). But I guess that is the life of a man who
  1. holds a job that requires him to be on standby around the clock
  2. is a part-time student pursuing his dream of bettering himself
  3. a father to two young children
  4. a wife to me (who admittedly, can be needy no matter how independent I am)
But with his work coming to a bit of a lull, and him at the very tail-end of his term, we see light at the end of the tunnel. (Sorry, no ridding items 3 & 4, obviously.)

So yester-evening, we made a trip to town. Town! Gee, it felt so foreign to enter that stretch of road which used to be our playground (though it hasn't been for years). It was such an effort, I tell you, especially since I was nursing a sore nose from blowing it too much, but we made it. We dressed up both kids and ourselves in decent wear and made it punctually to meet the bestie.

The evening started with dinner, followed by shopping. We didn't buy much, just bits and pieces here and there - but the fact that our little family of four was out and about altogether - what a feat!

The loves of my life
